Ethnic wear
Western try-on can’t drape a saree
·
3 min read

Most try-on tech was built for T-shirts and jeans: stitched garments with fixed shapes. A saree has no fixed shape. Its look depends on the drape, the pleats and the pallu.
Why it matters
Indian ethnic wear is roughly a $24B market, and about 78% of it still sells offline. Store staff unfold and refold sarees all day so shoppers can imagine them.
What we built
Flickd renders the saree on the shopper’s own avatar with the fall of the fabric intact. No unfolding. No refolding.
